Virtual Printer

A simulated Star and Epson network receipt printer that runs on your computer. Nothing to install.

macOS / Linux: paste into Terminal

Windows: paste into PowerShell

irm https://rc-tools.apps.rc.fyi/virtual-printer/printer-sim.ps1 | iex

Then

  1. The simulator opens in your browser. Keep the terminal window open while testing.
  2. If your computer asks whether node may accept incoming connections, choose Allow.
  3. On the POS: Printer Setup, Network, Search, or type the IP address the simulator page shows. The device must be on the same Wi-Fi as this computer (not a guest network).

The first run downloads Node 24.22.2 (about 30 MB) into a cache folder; later runs start immediately.
